National Window’s commitment to customer satisfaction includes educating and informing customers on ways to make their projects even more affordable through federal tax credits.
Homeowners who purchased eligible new windows, skylights and doors in 2009 and 2010 for their existing home may qualify for a federal tax credit of 30% of the product cost, up to $1,500.

Eligible Items:
Energy-efficient windows, doors and skylights purchased on or after June 1, 2009 with U-factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) ratings of 0.30 or less. Ratings are certified only by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC). Look for the NFRC label on products.
Documentation:
Homeowners must obtain a Manufacturer Certification Statement to document window, door and skylight eligibility for the tax credit. If the retailer or installer cannot provide this document, it may be available on the manufacturer’s website (see below).
Summary:
The product (s) must be "placed in service" by December 31, 2010.
The product (s) must be for taxpayer’s principal residence. $1,500 is the maximum total amount that can be claimed for all products placed in service in 2009 & 2010 for most home improvements.
Labor and installation costs are not applicable.
The product must have a Manufacturer Certification Statement to qualify.
